Day 30 May 28th Decatur IN – Tiffin OH

I wasn’t looking forward to riding in the heat again today. But given the choice of riding in the heat Vrs riding in the cold & rain with double layers of gloves, pants & shopping bags taped around my feet & hands, I choose the heat. I left out early @ 6:30 with 70 degree temps & a light tailwind. I passed into Ohio @ 7:00. Not wanting to waste any of these great riding conditions I rode straight through with 2 5 minute breaks all the way to the 65 mile mark! The road conditions were good. The farmers were out early too, working their fields. Riding in these conditions is priceless. The other neat thing is looking @ all the tractor dealers along the way with huge stocks of huge equipment. It looks like crop farming is alive & well in the heartland. I took a lunch break in Findlay Ohio, rested a bit & set out on the last 30 mile stretch into the town of Tiffin , 108 miles in. The heat started right on schedule 11.00, but with the help of a tailwind I ended my day early @ 3:00.

I will take this one please!

Tomo my goal is to make my way south of Cleveland to the town of a Chardon . This will put me about 50 miles from the Pa border.

I will give you the results of the  state with the “cleanest”  roads @ the end of the ride, but right now I will tell you Ohio will win. What a well kept state. Beautiful farms, & trash free roadways!
I hope Justin is doing well, & remember to keep his family & him in your prayers.
